This is a Christmas-themed number, but there’s enough non-seasonal work to do in summer. If you have babies or toddlers in your environment, then the Blocks Safe for Baby should be a lovely project. And let’s be honest, are you going to quibble when someone holds a tray with pecan or sugar cookies in front of you because it’s not winter?
Lapel pins aren’t much worn anymore, but no problem: crocheted jewelry is modern now, and the lapel pin embellishments will serve as pendant or maybe if not too large, earrings. I love the textile and paper earrings because they are so much lighter than the metal or stone ones that can quite painfully pull on an ear. We can channel our creativity not just in making these lovely vintage things, but also in finding new uses for them,.
