Heinrich Kuehn – Album No. 873

Q-YS003 Heinrich Kuehn – Album No. 873
Six floral designs and three alphabets. The alphabets (spread over six pages) also appear in other Heinrich Kuehn booklets.
Brown leporello, black and white on one side and dark red on the other side. Scanned 600dpi png.
Scanned, edited and charted by Sytske Wijnsma.

It’s been more than a year since we published HKB booklets and I still mentally grumble about the non-unique alphabets included in them. But the floral designs in this album are nice, in two shades of whatever color you would like to embroider them. There’s corners and edges and there is one repeating design of which the elements could also be small individual motifs. The album is printed, and that as well as the Vereinigte Stickmuster Verlag indication means this is a later item. The earlier booklets were first handpainted, then printed in more than three colors, then printed in fewer colors but shades indicated by symbols, and finally printed in a single color for each side. When these are charted, I pick two shades for the color charts so it gives a better impression of how the finished embroidery would look like. The monochrome pdfs are added for people who like to print the patterns but don’t have a color printer.
