IF YOU CAN’T AFFORD TO DONATE, BUT WOULD LIKE TO HELP THE ANTIQUE PATTERN LIBRARY, INTRODUCING THE LIBRARY TO PEOPLE WHO DON’T KNOW OF IT YET, IS VERY USEFUL, SINCE IT BROADENS OUR USER BASE AND THEREFORE ALSO OUR FUTURE DONOR BASE. BLOGS, TIKTOK, INSTAGRAM, PINTEREST, RAVELRY, FACEBOOK, OTHER SOCIAL MEDIA – SHOW OTHERS YOUR FAVORITE PUBLICATIONS AND WHAT YOU MADE USING THEM. OUR WORK IS ONLY USEFUL WHEN PEOPLE ACTUALLY USE IT!

This book has twelve ways of covering your shoulders and/or head, in a time that bare shoulders were inappropriate in public, except in gala parties, and bare heads in public were often considered inappropriate as well, especially in church. That’s because St. Paul mentions that women should cover their hair in public. I do remember photographs of my mother and aunts as young adults, all wearing a hat or shawl in public. How times have changed! But the stoles and shawls in this book are nice and still useful, when it’s too cold in just a tank top. Though maybe the one that looks like netting wouldn’t help much against wind and cold! Look through this book and maybe you’ll find one that would serve your purpose, either decoration or warmth or maybe both!
